Yesterday was my best day in Iraq to date. Three things happened that sealed the deal.
#1 My replacement's arrival date was moved up to May 20th.
#2 I got a box in the mail. The primary contents were vacuum-sealed homemade brownies from Tiffany. I remember complaining when she bought the vacuum sealer a couple years ago. No complaints ever again. It paid for itself yesterday!
#3 The Navy Petty Officer in charge of my travel locked me into a rotator out of Kuwait on June 4th!
Oh happy day!

Yes, but he pulled his hammy beating out a bunt that kept a 4-run rally alive to win the game. And, light-hitting Theriot has hit 3 homers in 4 games. D Lee had a four-run homer. Things are looking up for the Cubbies.
